Retail Experience
Provided the architecture and overall design for a set of web-enabled retail applications for Major International Corporation. Some clients for these applications gain access over the Internet while others make use of an intranet. The system architecture provides a foundation of business functions that are made available to several enterprise retail and e-commerce applications. It meets the stated requirements for integrating new functionality with the existing investment in legacy applications while providing a foundation for building new applications capable of responding to the rapidly evolving needs of today’s marketplace.
At a technical level, the client browsers access the middle-tier application server using active server pages. In the middle-tier, the different workflows for the various applications can access common business components. The common business components consist of a mixture of newly implemented business objects and legacy systems made accessible through component wrappers.
Created quality assurance plans and test models using the Rational Unified Process.
Developed defect tracking, configuration management and version control procedures and tools for improved quality and efficient coordination between developers and testers in a variety of environments.
Mentored quality assurance teams in testing procedures for object-oriented development environments and processes.
